Palace to Palace - 4th October - King's Trust
Palace to Palace returns with an extra special event to celebrate 50 years of The King’s Trust. For the first time, this iconic cycle and walk event starts and finishes in central London, taking you past world-famous landmarks, ending with a fantastic finish festival in Battersea Park. Every mile you take will help transform a young person’s future. Choose from special Anniversary edition routes, 50 miles (Classic), or 100 miles (Ultra).

The Details
Choose from 50 or 100-mile cycle routes, both starting on the world-famous Mall, riding past Buckingham Palace, through the capital's most iconic landmarks and scenic countryside, before crossing the finish line in beautiful Battersea Park with your fellow cyclists and walkers. There is also a half-marathon walking route option through the city.
Date: Sunday 4 October 2026
Event Type: Open Road. The Palace to Palace route is along roads open to traffic and the general public. Therefore, all riders should obey the Highway Code.

Parking:
Cycle: There is no parking provided at the start, but there are several car parks nearby.
Please note that if you are being dropped off at the start you will not be able to access Horse Guard Road, The Mall or Marlborough Rd. Instead we recommend using Waterloo Palace, Carlton House Terrace.
It is then a short 2 minute cycle to the start. We do encourage the use of public transport over driving where possible.
Walk: There are three car parks located close to Battersea that guests may find convenient:
- Battersea Park – Chelsea Gate car park
- Battersea Park – Rosery Gate car park
- Chelsea Bridge Wharf car park (main website can be found here)
Please note that all parking in these locations is open to the public and operates on a first come, first served basis. The car parks within Battersea Park are fairly small and no spaces have been reserved specifically for event participants.
In addition, there may be limited on-street parking available on the surrounding residential roads near Battersea.
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of any parking charges.
Routes: 50 miles Classic, 100 mile Ultra and half-marathon walking route option 13 miles.
Registration Fees - Classic (£52), Ultra (£70), Walk (£35)
Fundraising Target - £150 per person
Registration Opens:
Cycle – please arrive 15 minutes before your start time
Walk – no earlier than 7:30am
Start Time:
Classic – 7:15am-9:30am depending on your start time
Ultra – 6:45am-7:15am depending on your start time
Walk – 8:30am, with all walkers being set off by 9am

About The King's Trust
The King’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background or the challenges they are facing. Palace to Palace is The King's Trust flagship challenge event, starting off as a cycle ride only, we added The Palace Walk, a half marathon walk, in 2024. The event is entering it's 19th year and has raised over an incredible £7 million to support young people facing adversity.
